Wolves midfielder O’Hara plays down QPR claims

Jamie O’Hara has denied claims that he is set to leave Wolves for QPR.

Jamie O’Hara has denied claims that he is set to leave Wolves for QPR.

Reports have suggested that the 26-year old former Tottenham midfielder was to return to London with the relegated R’s keen to lure him from Wolverhampton.

O’Hara was supposed to have played in a bounce match for QPR on Saturday but he says that is pure speculation.

"I have had so many text messages and phone calls about it. The rumour that I was there on trial was not true - I was out with my kids at the time,” he told Express & Star.

"Nothing has happened - I'm just training hard and keeping my head down.

"There are a few clubs interested but nothing has materialised, then this rumour about me playing for QPR came out of the blue."

O’Hara is, however, on the search for a new club after being told by new Wolves boss Kenny Jackett he does not feature in his plans.
