Wolves match on despite power cut

A power cut in the city centre had put the Wolves v QPR game in doubt but the club has confirmed the game will go ahead. There was no power at Molineux earlier due to the problems but the situation has now been resolved.

A statement on the club's official website read: "This afternoon's game between Wolves and Queens Park Rangers is now set to go ahead after power was restored to Molineux.

"We have been told by the electricity supplier that the restored power should be retained for the rest of the day to allow the game to go ahead.

"Fans are advised that the loss of power for approximately 90 minutes will mean some disruption to food service, especially in corporate areas, and are asked to show patience as a result."
