Cameron Borthwick-Jackson featured for Manchester United's reserves side in their encounter against FC Porto on Wednesday.
United squared off against Porto in the Premier League International Cup quarter-final and the Red Devils suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat on the night, ending their participation in the competition.
The match was of significance to defender Borthwick-Jackson as despite being currently on loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers, the full-back made an appearance for United on the night and delivered a strong performance at the back.
The 20-year-old was recalled by United just for one match and will be back in contention for Wolves for Friday night's Championship clash with Birmingham City.
