Wolves in loan swoop for Stoke winger Pennant

Championship Wolves have signed Jermaine Pennant from Stoke City on an emergency three-month loan. The 29 year old former Liverpool winger arrives following a spate of injuries to wide men that has robbed Wolves their wide players.

"We're very pleased Stoke have agreed for Jermaine Pennant to join us on loan for an initial three-month period," said Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey.

"Our manager Stale Solbakken wanted to find a high-quality replacement for our injured wingers.

"He is a high-quality player and Stale is delighted to have secured his services until at least the new year."
