Wolves line up bid for Stoke striker Jones

Wolves are lining up a bid for Stoke City striker Kenwyne Jones.

The People says Mick McCarthy wants a new striker on board at Molineux to boost his side's goal threat as they prepare for a relegation battle.

And Jones has been identified as the perfect man to help steer them clear of the drop zone.

Jones, 27, has been at the Britannia since 2010 but has started only five league games this season and most of his game time has come in the Europa League.

Tony Pulis is keen to hold on to him as the Potters are still in Europe but Jones could fancy the prospect of more regular action.
