Wolves goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann is convinced they'll start climbing the table thanks to their new form.
Having run both Chelsea and Manchester United close at the start of the battles with the 'big boys', Wolves finally got the result their football deserved with a 2-1 win over Manchester City at Molineux on Saturday.
"It closes the gap on everybody and it's so tight at the bottom now," Hahnemann told the Wolves website. "Somebody said afterwards that just three points separates us from ninth place now so that shows how tight it is.
"If we keep playing the way we are we will find ourselves in the top half of the table soon.
"We have been playing well, going away to Chelsea, Fulham and Tottenham.
"We have been playing good sides and wins don't just happen automatically.
"Sometimes you need a little bit of luck and we have been playing well in those games but that's the way it goes sometimes.
"When you're playing well you know that those results are going to come."
