Wolves goalkeeper Dorus De Vries has paid tribute to Roberto Martinez for his work at Swansea City.
De Vries feels the Wigan Athletic manager deserves great credit for setting the Swans on their way to the Premier League.
"Our trainer Roberto Martinez was then convinced that the club would continue to grow. He took me with Ferrie and two Dutch boys inside two years later, Cedric van der Gun and Kemy Augustien.
"Furthermore, Martinez took a group of Spanish players. He had a clear vision of how to play and worked with Kevin Reeves, who was chief scout, to bring the right players to the club."He told Voetbal International: "Swansea has made beautiful steps in recent years. They now have a beautiful new stadium and they're always playing good football. I signed in 2007 simultaneously with Ferrie Bodde, with whom I already had played at ADO Den Haag. Swansea was still active in the League One.
