The future of Manchester United striker Ashley Fletcher has become increasingly clouded.
The Express & Star says Wolves are keen on the young forward.
Leeds owner Massimo Cellino was thought to have stolen a march, by agreeing to meet the player's £7,000-per-week wage demands and pay a compensation fee.
Their league cohorts are queuing up to take the 20-year-old, including his last loan club Barnsley. West Ham and Bristol City have also been linked to him.
Fletcher has turned down a contract offer at Old Trafford and appears to be leaving permanently, so Wolves' growing ambitions might work in their favour.
