Wolves' Jarvis chomping at the bit for taste of England action

Wolves winger Matt Jarvis is excited about the upcoming week with the England national team.

The 24-year old received a surprise call-up to Fabio Capello's squad for this weekend's Euro2012 qualifier with Wales and next week's friendly with Ghana and admits he is a ball of excitement as he prepares with the rest of the Three Lions players.

"It is hard to describe. I was more speechless than anything, but obviously it was a fantastic feeling," he told Sky Sports News.

"Training was good, short and sharp, I just wanted to get out and train and obviously get more comfortable.

"I didn't really know any of them so it was a bit like having your first day at school again, but it's been great meeting everyone and they've made me feel welcome."

As for getting some minutes in either of the games, Jarvis was not holding his breath and was happy to take any of the two wings.

"That is obviously up to the manager but I can play on the right or the left and hopefully I can do well," he added.
