Greg Halford is enjoying his time with English Championship club Portsmouth after a frustrating spell at Wolves. The versatile full-back/winger has featured in every game since making the switch in October and scored his third goal for the club in Saturday's 2-0 win at Norwich City.
"It has been nice playing regularly again and that is the main reason I came down here," the 26 year old told skysports.com.
"I've grabbed a couple goals along the way too and everything apart from the living conditions has been great because staying in a hotel isn't ideal.
"All the lads are top class and the coaching staff are excellent, so on the pitch I am really enjoying it.
"It was very frustrating at Wolves, especially having worked my way into the squad of 25 after a good pre-season where I worked as hard as I could have done.
"I felt I was a little unlucky not to start from the off this season, but I was happy to be on the bench at least.
"Then for some strange reason it petered out a little bit and I was then unable to even earn a place on the bench, which left me no option but to seek a loan move so that I could go out and play some football.
"Thankfully, Portsmouth were interested and it has turned out to be a great move for everyone concerned."
