Wolves midfielder Dave Edwards says he is thrilled to be back after a frustrating six months on the sidelines.
The 25-year old Wales international has not played for the Molineux outfit since succumbing to a back problem in February but played in the reserves this week and is in the hunt for some first team football.
Edwards admits it was a struggle being out for so long but is happy to now be back in action.
"It's been the longest time I've had out in my career," he told the Express and Star.
"It's been a hard six months because there were times when I thought I was nearly fit and others when I felt a million miles away.
"It's nice to hopefully come through the other side but now I've got to work extra hard to keep myself fit and avoid future problems.
"It has been a frustrating time, especially the two or three times I thought I was close and then had another setback.
"I've got a good support team around me and have managed to come through it."
