Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is keen to hang onto on-loan Sunderland winger Carlos Edwards.
Wolves chief Jez Moxey told the Express & Star: "Mick McCarthy has spoken to someone there and we're told we might be able to keep him longer. We'd hope to keep him for at least to the end of the loan period."
Edwards, 30, admitted he is happy in the Midlands but would heed Keane's call should the Sunderland chief require his services.
"I'm keen to stay but, at the same time, I'm contracted to Sunderland and until I hear any different, I'll be departing here after 28th December," he added.
