Wolves striker Kevin Doyle feels Republic of Ireland are capable of making a splash at the 2012 European Championships.
Giovanni Trapattoni's men last night made it through to the final 16 thanks to a 5-1 aggregate play-offs win over Estonia and Doyle says perhaps the Irish can pull off a Greece-type performance in Poland and Ukraine.
"It is nice to be there, it is six months away and there is a lot football between now and then with Wolves, but I want to try and keep myself in as good a shape and as fit as possible and make an impact on the Euros," Doyle told Sky Sports .
"Once you get there that is half the battle done and we have shown in one-off games we can beat anyone, we have watched clips of Greece winning it (in 2004) - so why not Ireland?"
