Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is approaching the next raft of fixtures with some trepidation. The midlands club, who are in the bottom three of the Premier League, have to face Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal in their next four games.
Wolves ended a run of four successive defeats by drawing at home to West Ham last weekend.
But McCarthy knows the importance of his side gaining some tangible reward from the next four outings.
He said: "There isn't as much pressure on this game as there was in the West Ham one.
"Chelsea are the best team in the league and they've carved most teams up.
"They can be pretty awesome when they get going so we've got to go there and be ready for it.
"But there is pressure on the next four games to get something.
"Who is to say though that it's set in stone that the top four sides will win all their matches?"
McCarthy has confirmed he will play with only one striker at Stamford Bridge and Kevin Doyle believes Wolves can take heart from last season's performances against the leading clubs.
He said: "Against Arsenal away and Chelsea and Manchester United at home, we definitely should have got something out of those games.
"We definitely improved against the bigger teams as the season went on.
"We've got a run of games against some of the best players in the world. It's exciting for us and if we can get something from the games, it will be a bonus."
