Wolves defender Mouyokolo: Premier League remains No1

Wolves defender Steven Mouyokolo has no doubts the Premiership remains the best in the world.

Mouyokolo stresses the Premier League has not lost any of its star status on the world stage due to the continual failings of the national side.

"Only people who don't know football could feel like that," he told the Sunday Mercury. "People who know football will still know that the Premier League is the best because we have a great mixture of nationalities in all teams. At the World Cup it is only for one games or two games where you have to be focused, and when you have to give your best.

"This league is very tough. You look at the fixtures for the English teams, they have a lot of games. They play Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup - it's a lot of games.

"And from what I saw last year, every game is difficult. Every one of them.

"You can play a team at the bottom and it can be the hardest game of the year because they give their best.

"There are no easy games.

"Even the top teams can lose, that's why it was tough on the English players."
