Christophe Berra wants the Scotland national team to become more like Premier League giants Manchester United and Manchester City on their travels.
Berra and his Scottish teammates head to Cardiff to take on Wales in World Cup qualifying tomorrow night and the centre-half has pleaded for much-improved performances away from the comforts of Glasgow's Hampden Park.
"Let's be honest, Wales are the kind of team you want to take a minimum of three or four points from," he said in reference to the Group A fixtures.
"You actually look to win both games, home and away. To have a realistic chance of qualifying, that's what you have to do.
"If you are at Man United or Man City and you want to win the league you have to win those tough games away from home.
"There are only ten games in this group so we have got to get as many points as possible away.
"Going to Belgium, Serbia and Croatia is going to be difficult because they have all got world-class players. International football is a ruthless business. And when it is against one of the home nations it adds a bit of spice.
"But Wales is a great chance for us to try and get three points. To have a good chance of qualifying from this group we need that."
