Wolves are confident closing a deal for Hull City winger Stephen Hunt.
The Express & Star says Hunt will quickly follow £2.5m-rated Hull team-mate Steven Mouyokolo into Molineux in a £5.5m double swoop on the Tigers.
His arrival was more protracted owing to his injury that prompted more negotiation over the fee. The 28-year-old wideman broke his foot in February and Wolves wanted a deal structure that reflected the nature of the injury with the player not expected to regain full fitness until after the start of the season.
It is understood Wolves were not prepared to pay anywhere near Hull's initial demands knowing the former Reading man may not be fully up to speed until probably the New Year.
However, a compromise has been reached to allow Hunt to rejoin familiar faces Kevin Doyle, Marcus Hahnemann, Andy Keogh and Kevin Foley.
