Wolves chief Moxey admits going for West Ham signing Lansbury

Wolves chief Jez Moxey admits they were interested in Arsenal midfielder Henri Lansbury before his move to West Ham United.

A £1million permanent deal was available but Wolves and the three rival Premier League clubs were all pursuing a loan agreement.

Moxey said: "Lansbury has been on our radar for a while now. But, in order for us to take the interest any further, it would have involved a space opening up on the roster by a player departing.

"There was a chance that might happen - I'm not going to say who - but that is not now the case."
