Wolves chairman Morgan hails Hunt, Fletcher impact in survival battle

Wolves chairman Steve Morgan was delighted with the performances of Steven Fletcher and Stephen Hunt last season.

But both came good in the final stages of the season, showing all their Barclays Premier League class and suggesting much more to come as Wolves head into their third top-flight season.

"The two Steves, Fletcher and Hunt, both did great jobs," Morgan told the Wolves website.

"We missed Hunty through injury for a lot of the season, but when he came back, he was fabulous. His goal against Blackburn a few minutes from the end was the most valuable goal ever scored at this club financially.

"He was a great signing and I'm sure didn't want the season to finish. He left here having scored one of the best goals he'll ever score in his career and one of the most crucial goals ever for Wolves.

"He then went off to Ireland and was man of the match in all their games. He was really on fire and I hope he comes back in the same form - he was completely different class at times.

"Fletcher was the top scorer without playing in anything like the amount of games he perhaps could have played in.

"What would he do with a full season?"
