Jelle van Damme wants to leave Wolves but manager Mick McCarthy wants nothing of it.
The Belgian defender joined Wolves in June from Anderlecht but is already seeking an exit with news that he had agreed a deal with Standard Liege, beginning in January.
But former Republic of Ireland defender McCarthy said no deal had been sorted with Liege and believes players who want out so easily when the going gets tough need to harden up and get on with the job.
"Let me clear something up. There is no chance of any loan deals. He is a player with us, and he signed a four-year deal to be part of our squad," McCarthy said.
"I might want to change one or two things in January, but in the meantime, everyone needs to knuckle down and concentrate on winning us some games. It is a case of shutting up and getting on with it."
