Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is standing by his goal shy striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.
McCarthy has never lost faith in Ebanks-Blake, who has netted one goal in 15 league games.
"I put my arm around the players all the time to encourage them - it's ongoing," he told the Birmingham Mail. "Sylvan's been playing in the team and just has to keep going. It's tough, but he did it last season and he'll score his goals.
"I think you'll find I've given him a bit of confidence. How many games has he played?
"How many goals has he scored? Don't you think I've been the paternal, caring manager?
"I am that sort of person. It's not about repaying me or anyone else but he's been playing well for the last few games."
