Wolves boss Mick McCarthy would be prepared to lose David Jones for nothing next summer.
The former Manchester United trainee scored a spectacular free-kick last week.
McCarthy insisted: "I don't see it being acrimonious.
"If Dave decides not to sign, plays 30-odd games, has a good season and then goes somewhere else I'd shake his hand and say, 'Good luck, thanks for all you've done'. If he signs I'd be delighted."
