Wolves boss Mick McCarthy will make a check on Tottenham striker Robbie Keane tonight.

Keane, 29, will return to Tottenham next month following the end of his loan spell at Celtic who play AZ Alkmaar at Parkhead.

However, the deal is difficult with Tottenham determined to sell rather than loan again and looking for at least £8million.

Keane, who started his career at Wolves, rejected the chance to return to Molineux on loan in January.

McCarthy also has an interest in the AZ Alkmaar forward Jermain Lens.
