Wolves boss Mick McCarthy loved the passion shown by on-loan Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong in their draw at Tottenham.
Frimpong was booked for a 28th-minute challenge on Gareth Bale and walked a yellow-card tightrope until boss McCarthy intervened.
McCarthy said: "I've been there as a young player when you're coming off and 30 or 40,000 people are giving you dogs' abuse.
"You just have to smile and take it and I thought he did. He was fine.
"I took him off because the ref gave a free-kick against him which I thought was really poor. I knew full well that he could get a booking for the next one."
