Mick McCarthy praised the performances of young keeper Wayne Hennessey and claims the youngster has made a 'stunning' start to his first Premier League campaign, reports the Birmingham Mail. The Wales international has started all 12 of Wolves' top-flight matches.
Even when Wolves have conceded, which they did four times against Arsenal on Saturday, the Bangor-born stopper has acquitted himself well and earned his manager's praise.
"Hennessey has been brilliant. He's 22 and a fabulous goalkeeper," McCarthy said.
"He's maturing into a really top-class goalkeeper - he's absolutely top drawer.
"I just think he's had a stunning season so far."
