Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has commented on their capture of former Hull City defender Steven Mouyokolo.

McCarthy is keen for the Frenchman to put immediate pressure on his senior defenders.

"Jody Craddock and Christophe Berra have formed a very good partnership over the last season-and-a-half but we always want competition for places and Steven and the other defenders will be pushing hard next season,'' he said.

"He's a quick and athletic defender who was one of Hull's more impressive players last season."
