Wolves boss McCarthy keen to fill reserves with youngsters

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is keen to see his young academy graduates get reserve-team football this season.

"We are in a good reserve league this year with fixtures to be fulfilled," said McCarthy.

"But those games probably aren't of much use for players like Daniel Jones and Mark Little.

"They've had a taste of first team football and need to be playing it.

"For the likes of Danny Batth, David Davis, Scott Malone, Ashley Hemmings, James Spray - they need to be coached and worked with here and getting some reserve team football."
