Wolves boss Mick McCarthy will give former Celtic defender Bobo Balde every chance of winning a contract.

"Bobo will be here for a couple of weeks at least," said McCarthy. "If he's up to speed to play then fine but, if he's not, then we'll wait.

"He'll probably be around for the Walsall and the Bristol City games and he wants to spend time with us.

"There was a lot of talk about him supposed to be joining Birmingham but I was never sure how true that was. He's an experienced defender and he's still been playing for Guinea."
