Wolves boss Mick McCarthy hailed American goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann after their 0-0 draw with Everton.

Louis Saha hit the bar for Everton while Leon Osman failed to make the most of three good early chances.

Two of them were dealt with by Wolves No1 Hahnemann, who was in the right place to frustrate the visitors throughout.

McCarthy said: "He was terrific, he has been since getting into the side. But they have all had to work hard. It has been workmanlike, full of desire, effort and honesty.

"While we have that we will always have a chance.

"We have our moments of quality and we will certainly battle it out with everybody."
