Wolves boss McCarthy delivers upbeat medical report

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has delivered an upbeat medical report.

Matt Jarvis was forced off in the second half of Saturday's defeat to Tottenham with a tight groin and missed the Carling Cup victory over Notts County in midweek.

But he has been undergoing treatment this week and is expected to be available for the Midlands derby at Molineux.

Dave Edwards (ankle) and Jelle van Damme (calf) are also hoping to return to training, while Stephen Hunt is still looking to get back after the international break in early October.

"Jarvo will be ready I'm sure, I've no real doubt about that one," McCarthy told the club's official website.

"Dave Edwards has a chance of training on Thursday and Jelle van Damme as well.

"And we've got Hunty as well who might be back after the break which would be good news."
