Wolves boss Mick McCarthy defended his tactics after their 2-2 draw at Hull City.
Due to the recent lack of goals, the visiting supporters voiced their displeasure with the formation in the first half but McCarthy felt vindicated in his selection.
He said: "We are away from home, we got back into the game.
"There will be someone that will say we should have gone to win it but we were having chance after chance after chance playing with one up front and three in the middle.
"I may have weakened my case and we could have got beaten and that was something I certainly wasn't going to do."
