Wolves boss McCarthy convinced Liverpool's Carroll finding form

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy feels Andy Carroll will eventually come good for Liverpool.

He fears the former Newcastle striker could be the man to put another dent in Wolves' survival hopes at Molineux tonight.

McCarthy said: "Carroll's still a big threat. Price tags have made life hard for a lot of people — if it just doesn't happen immediately, then it ends being a bit of a burden.

"He can't help the transfer fee. Maybe Liverpool play a slightly different way to what Newcastle did as well. Give him time, there's no doubt he's a good player."
