Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is hoping Chris Iwelumo can get his groove back on-loan at Bristol City.

McCarthy is looking for Iwelumo to make an impact at Bristol City after he played 90 minutes on his debut on loan against Sheffield United.

"He needs to play some football,'' said the manager.

''Big Sam Vokes went out and played and he came back and looked sharper and better than the lads who weren't involved.

"Stefan Maierhofer had his operation, so out of the three big ones Sam was the better of them.

'But we know Chris can be a handful if he gets some games."
