Wolves boss Kenny Jackett says Kevin Doyle remains in talks with Colorado Rapids.
The former Crystal Palace striker was back in Jackett's squad for victory over Rotherham United.
"The move to America is still ongoing," Jackett said. "But in the meantime if it is right for me to play him then I will do as I thought it was for the last half-an-hour against Rotherham.
"He will make the ball stick and can win a header and has experience which the other strikers don't necessarily have."
