Wolves boss accepts fans will never be patient

Mick McCarthy insists he will never get to the point of asking for the Wolves supporters to be patient, reports the Birmingham Mail. The Molineux side remain just above the bottom three having won only two of their first 11 league matches.Arsenal on Saturday.

"Am I patient? Yes, I have to be.

"We all want success tomorrow, we all want a good team tomorrow. We actually came up as a good team. It doesn't make us a Premier League team, we have to earn the right to be a Premiership team."

McCarthy added patience is not what is required as the club aim to establish themselves in the top flight - it is graft.

"It is not about being patient, it is about working hard to get there," he said. "I do not ask people to be patient. That is not my bag at all.

"Fans come to support us and they can voice their opinion about the game - good, bad, or indifferent.

"They have been brilliant so far. They want success but no more than I want success, so I will not be asking them to be patient.''
