Wolves are favourites for Stoke City defender Danny Collins.
The Daily Mail says Ipswich are set to suffer a blow and lose out on Stoke central defender Collins, 31, who has been on loan at Portman Road since September.
Collins' temporary stint is set to end after Saturday's home clash with Derby and Wolves are keen to snap him up to help avoid relegation from the Barclays Premier League.
It was current Molineux boss Mick McCarthy who signed the Welsh international for Sunderland in 2004 and he went on to play more than 150 games before joining Stoke in a £2.75m deal two years ago.
