Wolves have asked permission to hold talks with Brighton & Hove Albion manager Gus Poyet according to reports.
Sky Sports suggests that Wolves, who sacked Mick McCarthy last week, are keen to speak to the former Chelsea and Tottenham striker who has been at the helm at Brighton since November 2009.
Wolves spoke with Neil Warnock and Alan Curbishley last week but the former took the Leeds United job and the latter today pulled out of the race for the Molineux role leaving ex-Sunderland boss Steve Bruce and Poyet as potential candidates.
