Wolves in advanced talks for Sunderland's Higginbotham

Wolves are in talks for Sunderland defender Danny Higginbotham.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has made a £1.25m swoop for Higginbotham.

The pair were talking personal terms last night after the Black Cats accepted the offer. McCarthy moved after losing Jody Craddock to a foot injury and he is confident of signing Higginbotham, 29, today despite interest from his former club Stoke.
