Wolfsburg want Chelsea's Werder Bremen target de Bruyne

VfL Wolfsburg have revealed their interest in Chelsea attacking midfielder Kevin de Bruyne.

The 22-year old Belgian is way down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and is likely to go out on loan in January with Werder Bremen keen on having him back after his successful spell there last season.

But Wolfsburg say they are also eager to have de Bruyne in Germany although they want an agreement that could see him move to the Volkswagen Arena on a permanent basis.

"If Chelsea want to sell him, we are ready to buy him or loan him with an option to buy," Wolfsburg general manager Klaus Allofs told Wolfsburger Allgemeinen Zeitung.

"We are not interested in a pure loan agreement."
