Wolfsburg in talks for Chelsea defender Bruma

Chelsea defender Jeffrey Bruma is a target for Wolfsburg coach Steve McClaren.

The Mirror says Bruma is set to be cleared to join Wolfsburg on loan for the season despite making a rare appearance in the Blues line-up for the opening friendly with Crystal Palace.

Bruma was wanted by McClaren when he was at Twente Enschede, but now the former England chief has earmarked him as one of his key captures in his new post in the Bundesliga.

The talented 18-year-old is not rated ready for double-winning Chelsea yet. He wants to play at centre half but is down the queue at Stamford Bridge - he can also play right back but is being groomed for the middle.
