Wolfsburg midfielder Diego would welcome a return to Atletico Madrid.
Diego spent last season on-loan with Atletico.
He told reporters: "If the rumours are true, that Atletico Madrid have an interest in me, it is always a pleasure to have a club like that looking at you."
