German club VfL Wolfsburg have confirmed their interest in Yokohama F. Marinos midfielder Manabu Saito.
The 23-year old Japan international has been scouted by Wolfsburg this season and now the Bundesliga club is ready to make a move for his services although a potential transfer is more likely to take place in the summer.
"Yes, (Wolfsburg are interested). However, it is unlikely there will be a transfer this winter," Wolfsburg manager Dieter Hecking told Sports Hochi.
