Wolfsburg are chasing Arsenal midfielder Alex Hleb.

Hleb's former coach from his Stuttgart days Felix Magath wants to make him his third big-name signing this summer after acquiring Italian World Cup winners Cristian Zaccardo and Andrea Barzagli from Palermo.

"Alexander Hleb is a very interesting player," said Wolves' manager Magath in the Wolfsburger Nachrichten newspaper.

"He came to me at Stuttgart and became a regular first-team player there."
