VfL Wolfsburg are ready to sell centre-forward Bas Dost.

The Dutchman is set to be cashed in by Wolfsburg as they seek a new centre-forward signing.

Kicker says Southampton boss Ronald Koeman is keen on taking Dost to St Mary's this summer, but will face competition from Newcastle United.

Incoming Newcastle boss Steve McClaren knows about Dost from his time in the Eredivisie with FC Twente.

The 26 year-old is available for around €15 million.
