German club VfL Wolfsburg have not been in contact with Napoli's Manolo Gabbiadini.
Recent reports suggested that the Bundesliga had made a €21million offer for the Italian striker who had agreed terms with them over a winter transfer.
However, Wolves sporting director Olaf Rebbe has denied such claims.
"We know the player and have watched him on more than one occasion, but there is no contact with Napoli or the player," Rebbe told Kicker.
Gabbiadini, 25, remains on the radar of Premier League trio Everton, Southampton and Stoke City.
