Wolfsburg appear set to hang on to Belgian international Kevin De Bruyne, despite strong interest from Premier League giants Manchester City.
Reports suggest that the Bundesliga outfit is preparing to offer De Bruyne a lucrative new deal that will feature a buyout clause for a hefty sum.
"Kevin has a contract until 2019, so the signal has already been sent out. He will stay with us," Wolfsburg director of sport Klaus Allofs said.
"We've said we will look at his contract. The aim is to take into account financially Kevin's extraordinary development and I think we will reach an agreement here very quickly."
De Bruyne enjoyed a stellar season at Wolfsburg after joining the German club from Chelsea in January 2014.
