VfL Wolfsburg chief sporting director Olaf Rebbe admits they're keen to extend the stay of Divock Origi.
The Liverpool striker is impressing on-loan at Wolfsburg this season, scoring three goals already.
Origi's loan fee is a huge €6.5m and Rebbe has left the door open to an outright deal.
"Divock is happy to be here. I know that he feels very well here. We'll talk to Liverpool soon to see what they are up to with the player," said Rebbe.
"It is clear: It would be negligent, not to make an effort to tie him to VfL longer."
Origi's Liverpool deal runs to 2019.
