VfL Wolfsburg chief Klaus Allofs admits they're keen on Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku. However, Allofs insists rumours of lodging a €28 million bid are wide of the mark.

VfL Wolfsburg chief Klaus Allofs admits they're keen on Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.

However, Allofs insists rumours of lodging a €28 million bid are wide of the mark.

"This is certainly wrong," insisted Allofs.

However, he continued: "He's interesting. The circle of the names that come to us in the equation are not so great. But Lukaku is not the only one.

"However, we do not do crazy things."
