VfL Wolfsburg chief Klaus Allofs again stated last night a hope of keeping hold of Kevin de Bruyne.
City and Wolfsburg are close to striking terms over a fee for the Belgium international, but Allofs says the player will have the final say.
He told Sky Deutschland: "I think he can feel at home in Wolfsburg for another year or two.
"I want to emphasize that we are trying to convince him to stay, but we will consider everything when it comes to serious bids.
"We will discuss it and take a decision."
