Wolfsburg chief Klaus Allofs has confirmed talks with Juventus striker Simone Zaza.

However, he warned a deal is far from being done.

Allofs told Kicker: “It's true, the player was there yesterday and we had a good discussion, but it's not done yet. It's not just what the player wants, either. Contract details and the transfer fee are all to be clarified.

“It is always important that when someone is thinking of coming to Wolfsburg, they take the time to see what we have here. I think that is a basic requirement and that was the purpose of yesterday's meeting.

“Whoever comes here finds that the conditions are excellent.

“The fact remains that we are not talking about a situation that is ready for completion. Various parties have not yet spoken."
